Surviving the Road to Hana

I thought that the Road to Hana would be boring.  It’s just a road, right?  WRONG!

It was awesome.  We had one of the best days ever!

We do have a tendency to sometimes always be late.  And once again, we did not disappoint.  When we disembarked the ship our tour bus wasn’t there waiting for us.  Apparently we had to meet them at the shopping center.  15 minutes later we found everyone waiting for us.  Oops.

And off we went!  Our 8 hour adventure had started!

We stopped by several beautiful waterfalls and beaches.

There is a tiny little lady standing up there, about to reconsider whether jumping into an unknown depth of freezing cold water is really a good idea.

Our tour guide Damien was very knowledgeable and made many stops.  One of them was getting us to climb through a tiny little hole on the side of the road  (see 0:57).

I later recalled hitting my head rather hard, but was too in awe of what I saw next to have noticed…

We also stopped to see lava tubes, turtles, rainbow trees, beaches, a blow hole that nearly wiped one of us out (see 4:44).

WORTH IT?
Yes. It was a pretty cool day!

Check out the video below for our best bits of the Road to Hana (and to find what was inside that tiny hole).

P.S. Sorry we forgot to tip you Damien!
